Material and Construction
The Fabdog Fluffy Walrus is constructed with a soft plush exterior and an interior reinforced nylon lining — Fabdog’s FabTough technology — designed to add a layer of resistance against light tearing. The poly fill interior provides a soft, squeezable feel. This is a light duty plush toy; it is not intended for aggressive chewers or power chewers.
Texture, Size, and Play Duration Guidance
The exterior is soft and fluffy, making it appealing for dogs that enjoy carrying, cuddling, or gentle mouthing. The small size measures 11 inches in height and the large measures 15.5 inches, making both options suitable for a range of breeds. Play duration will vary based on the individual dog’s play style — dogs that squeak and carry will engage longer than those that chew aggressively. Supervised play is recommended to monitor wear.
Play Style and Functional Use
This is a plush comfort toy with interactive squeaking functionality. The five squeakers distributed throughout the toy encourage dogs to explore and engage with different areas. The grunting squeaker adds a distinct sound variation that can sustain interest during play. This toy is best suited for dogs that enjoy carrying, shaking, and squeaking rather than sustained chewing.
Safety, Usage, and Care Guidance
Plush toys require active supervision during play. Inspect the toy regularly for signs of wear, torn seams, or exposed fill material. If the toy becomes damaged, remove it from play immediately to prevent ingestion of poly fill or squeaker components. Ensure the toy size is appropriate for your dog — the large size is recommended for bigger breeds. Store in a clean, dry location when not in use.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Spot clean with mild soap and water as needed. Allow the toy to air dry fully before returning it to your dog. Avoid machine washing or high-heat drying methods, as these can damage the plush exterior, nylon lining, and squeaker components.
