Material and Construction
The Fabdog Floppy Turtle is constructed from soft plush fabric with a poly fill interior. The floppy, flexible build allows the toy to move naturally during play, encouraging dogs to engage with it repeatedly. The light-duty construction is appropriate for gentle chewers and dogs who prefer carrying and tossing over aggressive chewing. This is a light duty plush toy — it is not designed for power chewers or unsupervised extended chewing sessions.
Texture, Size, and Play Duration Guidance
The toy has a soft, pliable feel with a floppy silhouette that moves unpredictably during play, which can extend engagement for curious dogs. At 9.5 inches, it is sized appropriately for small breeds and puppies. Play duration will vary based on individual dog behavior — dogs with moderate energy levels may engage for short to moderate sessions, while more active puppies may require closer supervision to prevent overly rough handling of the plush material.
Play Style and Functional Use
As a plush toy, the Fabdog Floppy Turtle is best suited for comfort play, light fetch, and interactive tossing. The 5 squeakers distributed throughout the toy provide auditory feedback that encourages repeated engagement. It can also serve as a comfort object for puppies during crate training or rest periods. Due to its plush construction, active supervision is recommended during play to monitor for wear.
Safety, Usage, and Care Guidance
Active supervision is recommended during all play sessions with this plush toy
Inspect the toy regularly for signs of wear, torn seams, or exposed fill material
Replace the toy if squeakers become accessible or the outer fabric is significantly damaged
Ensure the toy size is appropriate for your dog — the 9.5-inch size is intended for small dogs and puppies
Store in a clean, dry location when not in use
Cleaning and Maintenance
Spot clean with mild soap and water as needed. Allow the toy to air dry fully before returning it to your dog. Avoid machine washing or high-heat drying methods, as these can damage the plush fabric and internal squeaker components.
