Material and Construction
The Fabdog Floppy Shark Large is constructed from soft plush fabric with a poly fill interior. The floppy, flexible build allows the toy to move naturally when carried, shaken, or tossed, encouraging repeated engagement from medium and large dogs. This is a light duty plush toy — it is designed for gentle to moderate play and is not intended for power chewers or unsupervised extended chewing sessions. The larger format provides a more substantial grip point for bigger breeds who need a plush toy that matches their size.
Texture, Size, and Play Duration Guidance
The toy has a soft, pliable feel with a floppy silhouette that shifts during play to maintain a dog’s interest. At 15 inches, it is well-proportioned for medium to large breeds that need a more substantial plush toy to engage with comfortably. Play duration will vary based on individual dog temperament and energy level — dogs with moderate activity levels may engage for short to moderate sessions, while more energetic dogs may require closer supervision to prevent rough handling of the plush material.
Play Style and Functional Use
As a plush toy, the Fabdog Floppy Shark Large is best suited for fetch, light tug, carrying, and comfort play. The 5 squeakers distributed throughout the toy provide auditory rewards that reinforce repeated interaction. Its larger size makes it a natural fit for dogs who find smaller plush toys too easy to carry or too light to engage with during fetch. It can also serve as a comfort object during crate training or rest periods. Active supervision is recommended during all play sessions.
Safety, Usage, and Care Guidance
Active supervision is recommended during all play sessions with this plush toy
Inspect the toy regularly for signs of wear, torn seams, or exposed fill material
Replace the toy if squeakers become accessible or the outer fabric is significantly damaged
Ensure the toy size is appropriate for your dog — the 15-inch size is intended for medium to large dogs
Store in a clean, dry location when not in use
Cleaning and Maintenance
Spot clean with mild soap and water as needed. Allow the toy to air dry fully before returning it to your dog. Avoid machine washing or high-heat drying methods, as these can damage the plush fabric and internal squeaker components.
