Material and Construction
The Floppy Lobster Large is constructed from soft plush fabric with a poly fill interior. The multi-limb silhouette — including claws, legs, and antennae — creates a floppy, unpredictable feel during active play. Construction is light duty, designed for supervised interactive play rather than sustained heavy chewing. Stitching secures the limbs and squeaker chambers in place during moderate tug and shake sessions.
Texture, Size, and Play Duration Guidance
The toy has a soft, flexible feel with a floppy drape that mimics natural prey movement. The Large size (15.5 inches) is well-suited for medium to large dogs that benefit from a bigger grip surface and more substantial toy presence. Engagement duration will vary based on the individual dog — light to moderate chewers will enjoy extended sessions, while power chewers require closer supervision. This is a plush dog toy intended for enrichment play, not endurance chewing.
Play Style and Functional Use
The Floppy Lobster Large functions primarily as a tug toy and shake toy. The multiple limbs — claws, legs, and antennae — give dogs natural grip points for tugging and thrashing, while the five squeakers reward interaction with auditory feedback. It also serves as a comfort carry toy for dogs that enjoy holding objects between play sessions. It is not designed for fetch or puzzle-style play.
Safety, Usage, and Care Guidance
High supervision is recommended during all play sessions. Inspect the toy regularly for signs of wear, torn seams, or exposed squeakers — replace immediately if damaged. Ensure the toy size is appropriate for your dog to prevent accidental ingestion of small parts. Store in a clean, dry location when not in use.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Clean with mild soap and water. Allow to air dry fully before returning to use. Avoid machine washing or high-heat drying methods that may damage the plush fabric or internal squeakers.
