Material and Construction
The Faball is built around a solid TPR (thermoplastic rubber) squeaker ball core, which provides structure, bounce, and the squeaking mechanism. The core is wrapped in a cotton fabric covering that softens the exterior feel and adds grip. The construction is moderate duty — more resilient than a standard plush toy, but not designed for power chewers or aggressive chewing. The fabric covering may show wear with heavy use and should be inspected regularly.
Texture, Size, and Play Duration Guidance
The exterior has a soft, fabric feel while the inner TPR core provides firmness and bounce. The Small size (3″ diameter) is well-suited for small breeds, while the Large (4″ diameter) accommodates small to medium dogs. Engagement duration is typically moderate to extended for dogs that enjoy fetch and squeaker toys. Dogs that chew aggressively may wear through the fabric covering faster and will require closer supervision.
Play Style and Functional Use
The Faball is primarily a fetch toy. Its round shape allows for consistent rolling and bouncing on both indoor and outdoor surfaces. The TPR core provides enough firmness for a satisfying toss and return, while the squeaker adds an auditory reward that reinforces the fetch behavior. It can also be used for light toss-and-catch play and short squeaking sessions. It is not designed for tug-of-war or power chewing.
Safety, Usage, and Care Guidance
Moderate supervision is recommended during play. Inspect the cotton fabric covering regularly for fraying, tears, or squeaker exposure — replace the toy if the core becomes accessible. Ensure the size selected is appropriate for the dog’s mouth to prevent choking risk. Store in a clean, dry location when not in use.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Spot clean the fabric exterior with mild soap and water. Allow to air dry fully before returning to use. Avoid machine washing or submerging in water, as this can compromise the TPR core and fabric integrity. Do not use high-heat drying methods.
