A Celebration of Life, Color, and Cory Catfish
Original artwork by Donna “DJ”
Our aquarium-inspired celebration returns with Día de los Cories 2026, the newest limited-edition design from Aquatic Arts. This year, Cory catfish take the spotlight in original hand-drawn artwork by Donna “DJ.” Inspired by the colorful artistic traditions of Mexico’s Día de los Muertos, this release brings together a love of aquarium life and a celebration of creativity.
Inspiration Behind the Design
Día de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, is a Mexican tradition centered on remembering and honoring loved ones. Our annual aquatic artwork takes inspiration from that spirit of remembrance and the decorative calavera, or skull, imagery associated with the celebration. The 2026 edition gives Cory catfish their turn as the stars of the collection, offering aquarium enthusiasts a new design to enjoy and collect.
