Material and Construction
The GroomRaker features patented anatomically conforming rubber fingers engineered to flex and follow the contours of the dog’s body during use. The small size finger tips include patented 0.5-inch metal collector tips designed to penetrate the coat and collect loose hair, dirt, and dander efficiently. The ergonomic handle is constructed for comfortable, controlled grip during grooming. The quick-release mechanism allows collected hair to be emptied with a single flick, reducing grooming downtime. The compact small size is particularly suited for precise grooming on small dog breeds. Overall construction is moderate duty, suitable for regular home deshedding use.
Usage, Application, and Frequency Guidance
Hold the GroomRaker by the ergonomic handle and stroke through the dog’s coat in the direction of hair growth. The patented fingers and 0.5-inch metal tips will work through the coat to collect loose hair, dirt, and dander. When the fingers are loaded with hair, flick the tool to empty the collected material. Repeat across all coat areas for thorough deshedding coverage. Use regularly as part of a routine grooming schedule – frequency can be adjusted based on coat type and shedding level. The small size is ideal for detailed grooming work on small dog breeds.
Functional Use – Brush
The GroomRaker is designed specifically for deshedding and coat maintenance. The patented 0.5-inch metal-tipped fingers penetrate the outer coat to reach and remove loose undercoat hair, dirt, and dander. The flexible finger construction allows the tool to adapt to the dog’s body shape, ensuring consistent contact and collection across the full coat. The quick-release emptying mechanism keeps the grooming process efficient by minimizing interruptions to clear collected hair from the tool. The small size allows for precise control during grooming sessions on smaller dogs.
Safety, Usage, and Care Guidance
Use with controlled, even strokes – avoid pressing the metal tips firmly against the skin
Inspect the fingers and metal tips before each use; discontinue use if tips are bent, missing, or damaged
Avoid use on broken, irritated, or inflamed skin
Supervise grooming sessions to ensure the dog remains comfortable throughout
Store in a clean, dry location to prevent metal tip corrosion and rubber degradation
Cleaning and Maintenance
Flick the tool after each grooming pass to release collected hair. After the grooming session, wipe the fingers and metal tips clean or rinse under water. Allow to dry fully before storing. Inspect the metal tips and rubber fingers periodically for signs of wear or damage. Store in a dry location away from moisture to maintain metal tip integrity and rubber flexibility.
