Ingredient Transparency
CANIDAE PURE Grain-Free Biscuits with Duck and Chickpeas are made with pea flour, potato, cane molasses, duck, chickpeas, salt, natural flavor, chicken fat (preserved with mixed tocopherols and citric acid), rosemary extract, sesame seed, avocado oil, and turmeric. The formula is grain-free and built around a limited number of ingredients. Duck is the primary named protein, supported by chickpeas as the main carbohydrate source. Turmeric, rosemary extract, and avocado oil round out the formula as functional additions. Note that chicken fat is included as a palatability ingredient – pet owners managing chicken sensitivities should review accordingly.
Texture, Size and Feeding Guidance
These biscuits have a firm, crunchy texture with an easy-snap design that makes them simple to break into appropriately sized pieces for any dog. The snap feature is particularly useful for training sessions where a smaller reward is preferred, or for smaller breeds that benefit from a reduced portion. Adjust the number of treats based on your dog’s size, activity level, and overall diet – treats should not make up more than 10% of your dog’s daily caloric intake.
Crunchy Biscuit Treat – Functional Positioning
CANIDAE PURE Grain-Free Biscuits fall into the crunchy biscuit category – firm, oven-baked treats with a satisfying bite. They are not designed as dental chews, but the crunchy texture provides an enjoyable chewing experience. Their limited ingredient, grain-free formula makes them a practical choice for pet owners seeking a cleaner treat option for daily rewarding or training use alongside a complete and balanced diet.
