Description
Common Name: Davallia Parvula
Davallia parvula is a small fern prized for its delicate, finely textured foliage and distinctive fuzzy rhizomes. This compact species is especially well-suited for terrariums, paludariums, or vivariums, where it can thrive in moderate to high humidity and medium to bright indirect light. Like other Davallia ferns, it grows from a creeping rhizome covered in fine hairs that slowly spreads over hardscape or substrate, adding a natural feel to its surroundings. Over time, it forms a lush mat of fronds that results in a soft moss-like texture.
For best results, mount this fern where its rhizome remains consistently moist but its foliage remains dry between mistings to prevent rot.
