Material and Construction
The Fabdog Fluffy Walrus is constructed from a soft polyester shell with poly fill stuffing and a Fabtough reinforced nylon internal liner designed to extend the toy’s durability beyond standard plush construction. The fluffy exterior texture encourages tactile engagement and cuddling. Internal components include 5 squeakers distributed throughout the toy body and a grunting squeaker for layered auditory stimulation. Durability is rated moderate duty — the Fabtough nylon lining provides added resistance to light chewing and rough handling, though it is not intended for aggressive power chewers.
Texture, Size, and Play Duration Guidance
The toy has a soft, fluffy feel with a full, structured shape from the poly fill interior. At 11 inches in height and 0.33 lbs, it is appropriately sized and weighted for small dog breeds. The 5 squeakers and grunter extend engagement across different play moods — dogs may interact with this toy during calm rest periods as well as more active play sessions. Engagement duration will vary based on individual dog behavior and chew intensity. Supervision is recommended during all play sessions.
Play Style and Functional Use
This is a multi-purpose plush toy designed for both comfort-style and active interactive play. The fluffy exterior supports cuddling and carrying, while the 5 squeakers and grunter encourage pawing, shaking, and energetic engagement. The Fabtough nylon liner makes it more suitable for moderate play intensity than standard plush toys. It is not designed for fetch, tug, or puzzle-style interaction.
Safety, Usage, and Care Guidance
Moderate supervision is recommended during all play sessions with this plush dog toy
Inspect regularly for signs of wear, torn seams, or exposed fill and internal squeaker components
Remove and replace immediately if the toy becomes damaged or internal components are accessible
Ensure toy size is appropriate for your dog — intended for small dogs
Not intended for aggressive power chewers despite the reinforced nylon lining
Store in a clean, dry location when not in use
Cleaning and Maintenance
Spot clean with soap and water as needed. Avoid machine washing or high-heat drying methods, as these can damage the fluffy polyester exterior, internal fill, and squeaker components. Allow to air dry fully before returning to use. Inspect seams and squeaker integrity after each cleaning.
