Material and Construction
The Fabdog Dogito is constructed from polyester plush fabric in a stuffing-free flat format. The absence of stuffing reduces mess and eliminates the risk of dogs ingesting loose filling material. Two large squeakers are integrated into the body, providing dual-point auditory engagement during shaking and play. The polyester plush exterior is soft and lightweight, making it comfortable for carrying and gentle mouthing. This positions the Dogito as a light-duty novelty plush toy best suited for dogs who enjoy interactive squeaky play rather than sustained chewing.
Texture, Size, and Play Duration Guidance
The polyester plush exterior feels soft and pliable, with a flat body that is easy to grab, shake, and carry. At approximately 13.5″ in length (34.29 cm), the Dogito is well-sized for small to medium breeds. Engagement duration will vary — dogs motivated by squeaking and shaking will enjoy extended sessions, while dogs who chew more aggressively may work through the plush fabric more quickly. This toy is best suited for interactive play sessions with moderate supervision rather than unsupervised chewing.
Play Style and Functional Use
Shake Toy: The flat, elongated body and dual squeakers make the Dogito ideal for shaking play — dogs can grip and whip the toy side to side for satisfying squeaky feedback.
Squeaky Toy: Two large squeakers provide consistent auditory reward throughout the toy, encouraging repeated engagement and interactive play.
Carry Toy: The soft, lightweight body is easy for small to medium dogs to pick up, carry, and present during play. The novelty burrito shape adds visual interest and encourages dogs to engage with the toy independently.
Safety, Usage, and Care Guidance
Moderate supervision is recommended during play, particularly for dogs who chew aggressively
Inspect the toy regularly — replace if the plush fabric shows significant wear or if squeakers become accessible
Not recommended as a primary chew toy for moderate to aggressive chewers
Ensure the toy is appropriately sized for your dog
Store in a clean, dry location when not in use
Cleaning and Maintenance
Spot clean the polyester plush exterior with warm water and mild soap. Allow to air dry fully before returning to your dog. Avoid machine washing or high-heat drying methods, as these can damage the plush fabric and internal squeakers. Inspect squeaker function periodically during cleaning.
