Ingredient Transparency
Dogswell Dental Jerky contains twelve ingredients: chicken, vegetable glycerin, salt, coconut oil, parsley, vinegar, sodium tripolyphosphate, zinc hydroxychloride, spearmint oil, dried seaweed meal, mixed tocopherols, and rosemary extract. Chicken is the primary protein and flavor contributor, farm-raised and sourced in the USA. Parsley, spearmint oil, and dried seaweed meal contribute to breath-freshening support. Sodium tripolyphosphate and zinc hydroxychloride are included for dental health support. Mixed tocopherols and rosemary extract serve as natural preservatives. No artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives are included.
Texture, Size and Feeding Guidance
These are chewy, meaty jerky pieces with a savory chicken flavor profile and a soft texture that dogs consume at a moderate pace. The format can be torn by hand into smaller pieces, making it easy to adjust portion size for smaller dogs or to use across multiple training rewards. The chewy texture makes these particularly suitable for older dogs or those with sensitive teeth who may struggle with crunchy dental treats.
Dental Treat Positioning
Dogswell Dental Jerky is formulated with a blend of functional ingredients – parsley, spearmint oil, seaweed meal, sodium tripolyphosphate, and zinc hydroxychloride – designed to support breath freshening and overall dental health as part of a regular dental care routine. The chewy jerky format is not a replacement for brushing but provides a palatable, meat-forward option for incorporating dental support into daily treating. These are not a complete diet and should be used as a supplemental treat alongside a balanced meal plan.
